Regular servicing rinses the filters and coils with water. Chemical wash uses a foaming chemical solution that breaks down mould, bacteria, and mineral deposits that water alone can't remove. It also includes cleaning the fan barrel and drain pan — parts that general service skips.
Yes. We use a food-grade, biodegradable chemical solution. After application and rinse, no chemical residue remains in the unit. We recommend waiting 30 minutes after the job is done before using the aircon, just to be safe.
Almost certainly yes. Persistent musty or sour smells are caused by mould and bacteria on the fan barrel and coil — areas that regular servicing doesn't reach. Chemical wash eliminates these at the source. If the smell persists after a chemical wash, we'll diagnose it under our 60-day warranty at no extra cost.
Once a year is enough for most homes if you do regular servicing every 3 months. If you live in a high-humidity area, cook a lot, or have pets, every 6–8 months is better. Commercial spaces should do it every 6 months.
Yes, someone should be present to let our technician in and confirm the job is done to your satisfaction before we leave. The job takes 90–120 minutes per unit, so plan for that time window.
